Governmental Relations

SS&R has substantial experience in governmental relations with the state legislature, executive branch, HCFA and the U.S. Congress and has been instrumental in drafting key state legislation concerning rural hospitals. Moreover, members of SS&R have participated in special regulatory committees with the implementation of new Medicaid hospital prospective payment methodology. SS&R has served as advocates for special healthcare interests groups in promoting legislation or in challenging state plan amendments or proposed federal regulations. Through its user experience, SS&R has developed relations with key members of state and federal government who are responsible for legislating the healthcare industry.
